The most famous structure within the Abydos complex is the Temple of Seti I, which was built during the New Kingdom period. This temple is renowned for its well-preserved reliefs and inscriptions, including the Abydos King List, which chronicles the names of many pharaohs from Menes until Seti I's father, Ramesses I.
