The Catacombs of Kom El Shuqqafa is the most important tomb in Alexandria is located in the east of Alexandria. The Catacombs can contain more than 300 corpses. The pillar and the walls show Egyptian, Roman, and Greek iconography. And the inner walls show an icon of 'Anubis' the Egyptian God of the dead. There are four corridors leading to a small group of tombs. one of these corridors gives access to an entirely different complex which joined to Kom Ash Shuqqafa, which it predates. most of the walls are not decorated, almost all paintings have faded.
