Giza Pyramids

The Great Pyramid

The Magical Pyramid of Pharaoh Khufu (2609 BC - 2584 BC) is a mythical model of magnificence and glory which was designed to be a final resting place for the king that was designed by his main vizier Hemon it was constructed around 2570 BC. It stood at a height of around 481 feet (146 meters) and was the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years until the epic construction of the Lincoln Cathedral in England. The pyramid is made of 2.3 limestone blocks weighing 6 million tons in total and was meticulously built using complex engineering techniques as seen across the king’s chamber, the grand hall, the queen’s chamber, and more.

The Great Sphinx

The Celestial Sphinx is a living miracle of majesty and glory that protected the miraculous Giza Complex for thousands of years. It is a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human, usually believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre (2558 BC - 2532 BC) to immortalize his power and wisdom. This golden monolithic statue is made of limestone that has measurements a length of 73 meters (240 ft), a width of 19 meters (62 ft), and a height of 20 meters (66 ft).

The Valley Temple

The majestic Valley Temple is a mythical mortuary temple used in the funeral rituals and mummification process of the pharaohs of the 4th dynasty. Saint Catherine Monastery

St. Catherine Monastery changed the face and fate of the entire planet which was built between 548 and 565 AD at the foot of Mount Sinai, which is believed to be the mountain where Moses received the Ten Commandments. The monastery is named after St. Catherine of Alexandria, a Christian martyr who was executed in the 4th century AD. It is one of the oldest Christian monasteries in the world that has been continuously inhabited since its establishment in the 6th century. St. Catherine's Monastery is also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The monastery complex consists of various structures, including the fortified walls, the Church of St. Catherine, the Chapel of the Burning Bush, and several other chapels and buildings. The Church of St. Catherine is the main church within the monastery and is renowned for its beautiful Byzantine architecture and religious artworks. It houses a significant collection of religious icons, manuscripts, and artifacts which acts as the world's oldest continually operating library known as the Codex Sinaiticus and the Syriac Sinaiticus.

Karnak Temple

Karnak Temple Complex is the place where the gods and goddesses of Egypt gathered to provide blessings to the people of Egypt across history. It is a vast temple complex dedicated primarily to the worship of the 18th dynasty of the Theban triad of Amun, along with his consort Mut and their son Khonsu. It was constructed and expanded upon by various pharaohs over a period of around 2,000 years, starting in the Middle Kingdom and continuing into the Ptolemaic era between 1970 BC and 30 BC. The complex covers an area of over 100 hectares (274 acres) and contains several temples, pylons, sanctuaries, and other structures. The most prominent features of Karnak include the Great Hypostyle Hall, which consists of 134 massive columns, some reaching 23 meters in height, and the Avenue of Sphinxes which leads to the golden royal wonder of Luxor Temple.

Luxor Temple

The magnificent Luxor Temple is a miraculous center made for holding many royal festivals like the Opet festival to symbolize the concept of the rejuvenation of kingship. It was completed fully around 1400 BC and was built and enlarged by a number of great rulers of Amenhotep III, Ramesses II, Tutankhamun, and Alexander the Great. The entire temple is known for its grandeur and architectural beauty. It features massive pylons, courtyards, statues, obelisks, and a magnificent colonnade.

Valley of the Kings

The Valley of the Kings is a royal underground maz found in the Theban necropolis that served as the final resting place for pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom period (1550 - 1070 BCE). It is found hidden across the hills with one access leading to the heart of the hill which contains 63 rock-cut tombs, including those of famous pharaohs such as Tutankhamun, Ramses II, and Seti I. These tombs were elaborately decorated with intricate wall paintings and hieroglyphic inscriptions that depict religious, history, culture, and funerary scenes, providing valuable insights into ancient Egyptian beliefs about the afterlife.

Hatshepsut Temple

The holy of Holies Hatshepsut temple is a glowing wonder of power, beauty, and feminism which is created to honor the birth, legacy, and faith of Queen Hatshepsut (1507–1458 BC) who is one of the most successful rulers in history and the priestess wife of Amun. The temple is situated at the base of cliffs and stands as a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture. It consists of three terraced levels connected by ramps and colonnades. The temple's walls feature detailed reliefs depicting the achievements and divine lineage of Hatshepsut.

Colossi of Memnon

The loyal guardians of the golden Colossi of Memnon are two gigantic statues that once guarded the entrance to the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III (1386 - 1349 BC) that were created in 1350 BC. These colossal statues depict the pharaoh seated on his throne and are around 18 meters (60 feet) in height and height of 720 tons each. The statues are made of quartzite and are remarkable examples of ancient Egyptian monumental sculptures.

Edfu Temple

Edfu Temple is a magnificent piece of living art which are renowned for its grandeur which offers valuable insights into the religious beliefs and mythical rituals of ancient Egypt. It is top biggest and most preserved temple known for being the worship house of Horus the sky falcon god of victory and protection. The temple was built during the Ptolemaic period (237 - 57 BCE) on the location where Horus defeated his evil uncle Set. The temple's impressive design features pylons, courtyards, halls, and sanctuaries adorned with intricate reliefs and hieroglyphs.

Kom Ombo Temple

The Extraordinary Double-temple of Kom Ombo is a heavenly and meaningful living miracle that shed light on the unique history and science of that time period. It is dedicated to two different gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris "Horus the Elder". The temple was built between 180 BC and 47 BC during the Ptolemaic period and completed during the Roman era. The dual design of the temple features identical structures, halls, and sanctuaries dedicated to each deity on the southern and northern sides. The walls of Kom Ombo Temple are adorned with detailed reliefs depicting medical instruments, surgical scenes, astronomical facts, and mythological stories.

Abu Simbel Temples

The Abu Simbel Temples are an extraordinary marvel that consists of two massive rock-cut temples built during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II (1303–1213 BC) to be a timeless symbol of his great success and magnificent achievements. The Great Temple of Abu Simbel is one of the most captivating examples of ancient Egyptian art and architecture that features four colossal seated statues of the pharaoh at the entrance. The temple's interior contains intricate reliefs showcasing significant military victories and religious scenes. The temple was incredibly completed in 1264 AD and was mainly built to glorify Ozymandias who won the battle of Kadesh in 1274 BC. The smaller temple, dedicated to Ramses II's wife, Queen Nefertari the beloved of Hathor, depicts the queen alongside statues of Ramses II and their children.

Aswan High Dam

The Aswan High Dam is a massive dam constructed across the Nile River in the 1960s for flood control, hydroelectric power generation, and irrigation. The dam is an impressive feat of modern engineering and has had a significant impact on the region. The water was saved in Lake Nasser which is one of the world's largest artificial lakes.

The Unfinished Obelisk

The Unfinished Obelisk is a marvelous creation of granite that stood the test of time for ages. The obelisk would have been one of the largest ever created, reaching a height of about 42 meters (approximately 137 feet). However, the obelisk remains unfinished, as a large crack appeared during the carving process. It has the power to provide insights into ancient Egyptian stone quarrying techniques.

Philae Temple

Philae Temple is a beautiful piece of architecture and the spiritual significance it held in ancient Egyptian religious practices. The temple is one of the last temples to ever be built in Egypt during the Ptolemaic period in 280 BC. It is dedicated to Isis the goddess of motherhood which holds various structures, including the main temple, pylons, courts, and sanctuaries adorned with intricate reliefs depicting religious rituals and mythological scenes related to the myth of Osiris.

Al Muizz Street

The beautiful Khan El-Khalili Bazaar is a magical attraction of priceless treasures made in the Mamluk period between 1382 and 1389 which is by far one of the largest bazaars in the Middle East. The market is famous for its vibrant atmosphere, narrow winding lanes, and a wide array of shops and stalls selling a diverse range of goods which are traditional crafts, textiles, jewelry, spices, and souvenirs.

Qaitbay Citadel

The majestic Qaitbay Citadel is a powerful stronghold located on the eastern side of the harbor in Alexandria that was built between 1477 to 1479 AD by Mamluk Sultan Qaitbay on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria which is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The citadel was constructed as a defensive structure against potential invasions and features strong defensive walls, towers, and courtyards.

Pompey's Pillar

Pompey's Pillar is a heavenly milestone that comes in the shape of a marvelous ancient Roman column made of red granite and is one of the largest ancient monoliths in Egypt standing at approximately 27 meters (88 feet) tall. It was erected in the 3rd century AD in honor of the Roman Emperor Diocletian.
