The majestic Hatshepsut Temple is an architectural masterpiece rising from the desert across the face of gigantic rocky cliffs that showcases the birth, rise, and coronation of Queen Hatshepsut (1507–1458 BC) the priestess wife of Amun. The temple has three floors that feature a series of terraces, colonnades, and sanctuaries, with beautiful reliefs depicting the life and achievements of Hatshepsut. The temple's design reflects a harmonious blend of natural and man-made elements, making it a unique architectural masterpiece.
The Colossi of Memnon are two golden massive statues that once guarded the entrance to Amenhotep III's mortuary temple that disappeared from existence. They have the face of the pharaoh (1386 - 1349 BC) that were made in 1350 BC plus each statue is approximately 60 feet (18 meters) tall and depicts the pharaoh seated on his throne. The statues are notable for their size and the stories and legends associated with them, including the phenomenon of producing musical sounds at dawn, which was believed to be the voice of Memnon greeting his mother, Eos, the goddess of dawn.
