The Great Pyramid

The Sphinx is a magnificent piece of art that was carved into a giant limestone statue that protects the entire Giza complex that resembles a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human, commonly believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre (2558 BC - 2532 BC). The Sphinx is one of the most recognizable and iconic symbols of ancient Egypt that has inspired travelers from all over the world across the ages.

The Valley Temple

The Valley Temple is a golden marvel which was made to be the main center of the mummification process, known as the Opening of the Mouth Ceremony that was performed on the bodies of the 4th dynasty into golden statues and was one of the main rituals to enter the heavens.

Abu Simbel Temples

The golden Abu Simbel Temples are miraculous marvels which have an ancient temple complex dedicated to the Pharaoh Ramesses II (1279–1213 BC) and were constructed around 1264 BC to immortalize his legacy and his epic achievements like the battle of Kadesh that ended in 1274 BC by creating the first documented peace treaty in history. The temple consists of two main temples: the Great Temple of Abu Simbel and the smaller Temple of Hathor. The most remarkable feature of Abu Simbel is its colossal rock-cut statues of Ramesses II, which stand at the entrance of the temples plus the sun festival where his birthday and coronation are celebrated on the 22 of February and October of each year.

Aswan High Dam

The Aswan High Dam is a large dam located across the Nile River in Aswan, Egypt. It was constructed between 1960 and 1970 with the assistance of the Soviet Union. The dam was built to regulate the flow of the Nile River, provide irrigation water for agriculture, and generate hydroelectric power.

The Unfinished Obelisk

The unfinished obelisk is an ancient glorious that was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut (1507–1458 BC) to stand at the entrance of the golden Karnak temple complex which carries her golden name. The obelisk was carved directly from the bedrock but was left unfinished due to a crack that appeared during the carving process. The unfinished obelisk provides valuable insights into the techniques and methods used by ancient Egyptians in quarrying and shaping obelisks.

Philae Temple

The Philae Temple came into existence to become the worship center of Isis the goddess of motherhood which is known for its beautifully preserved reliefs and structures, depicting various scenes from Egyptian mythology and religious rituals. The temple of Isis came to be in the Ptolemaic period between 380-362 BC when the ancient art and architecture of Egypt were preserved to narrate the myth of Osiris plus the temple was relocated to the nearby island of Agilkia in the 70s.

Kom Ombo Temple

The mythical Kom Ombo Temple is an extraordinarily unusual double temple that was constructed during the Ptolemaic period and is dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the elder in both the southern and northern parts of the temple. The temple was made as one of the last temples ever made in the Ptolemaic period which came to be between 180 BC and 47 BC; it consists of two symmetrical sections, each with its own entrance, halls, and sanctuaries that is renowned for its detailed reliefs, including those depicting surgical instruments that shed light on the practice of medicine and astronomical facts during ancient times.

Edfu Temple

The Edfu Temple is a heavenly realm of ancient gods that is filled with golden intricate craftsmanship that adorns this sacred sanctuary. This gigantic marvel is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt and is dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus of victory and divine protection. The temple was constructed during the Ptolemaic period between 237 BC and 57 BC in the same place where Horus defeated his evil uncle set. Edfu Temple features impressive pylons, courtyards, halls, and sanctuaries, all adorned with intricate reliefs depicting scenes from epic Egyptian mythology and legendary religious ceremonies.

Karnak Temple

The miraculous Karnak Temple complex is a vast ancient temple complex made to celebrate the heritage of the golden celestial gods and kings. It was built over a period of approximately 2,000 years, starting from the Middle Kingdom and continuing through the Ptolemaic period between 1970 BC and 30 BC. Karnak is dedicated to the worship of the Theban triad of the 18th dynasty which is Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. The complex has 100 hectares (274 acres) that features several temples, sanctuaries, pylons, obelisks, and statues plus the most iconic structure within Karnak Temple is the Hypostyle Hall, which contains an epic forest of massive decorated columns.

Luxor Temple

The lunar Luxor Temple is a celestial marvel made in 1400 BC for the rejuvenation of kingship and the crowning of many kings like Amenhotep III, Tutankhamun, Ramesses II, and Alexander the Great and was entirely dedicated to the god Amun-Ra. Luxor Temple is known for its grand entrance, colossal statues, obelisks, and well-preserved hieroglyphic inscriptions. The temple was known for holding the opet festival which was once connected to Karnak Temple by the Avenue of Sphinxes, a long processional pathway lined with sphinx statues.

Valley of the Kings

The shining Valley of the Kings served as the final resting place for pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom period (1570 - 1050 BC) of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties. The valley is home to numerous tombs, including the famous tomb of Tutankhamun, discovered by Howard Carter in 1922 which was the only highly preserved tomb in history. The tombs in the Valley of the Kings feature intricate wall paintings and hieroglyphic inscriptions that depict scenes from Egyptian mythology and the afterlife thus offering an epic glimpse into their life.

Hatshepsut Temple

The Temple of Hatshepsut beloved of Amun is an impressive mortuary mythical temple dedicated to the female pharaoh Hatshepsut (1507–1458 BC). It was designed by her vizier Senenmut, Overseer of WorksThe temple is renowned for its unique design, with terraces, colonnades, and statuary across all three floors blending into the natural rock formation of the surrounding cliffs. The walls of the holy of holies feature detailed reliefs depicting the achievements and divine lineage of this great ruler.

Colossi of Memnon

The Cosmic Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues that depict Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1386 - 1349 BC) that were completed in 1350 BC and were originally part of a much larger mortuary temple that disappeared for existence. They are approximately 60 feet (18 meters) tall and are made from a single piece of stone which have many carvings and decorations across the seated thrones that uncover great facts. The Colossi of Memnon used to be famous for the Ptolemaic vocal phenomenon that inspired travelers from all over the world.
