Giza Pyramids

The Great Pyramid

Khufu horizon has a total height of 481 feet (147 meters) which made it the tallest structure on the face of the earth for 3800 years. The Great Sphinx

The Great Sphinx of Giza has been an enduring symbol of Egypt that offered divine protection for this golden area for millennia. The Sphinx is a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human believed to represent the wise and powerful pharaoh Khafre (2558 BC - 2532 BC) on the holy figure of a prehistoric lion which was carved of a giant limestone that has a width of 19 meters (62 ft), a length of 73 meters (240 ft), and height of 20 meters (66 ft). It stands on the Giza Plateau near the pyramids and is one of the world's largest and most famous statues.

The Valley Temple

Step Pyramid of Djoser is a marvelous wonder that showcases the transition of ancient Egyptian architecture from mastaba to limestone pyramids which was built between 2670–2650 BC and designed by the polymath High Chancellor Imohotep to create a miraculous pyramid with the first of its kind courtyard complex. The Step Pyramid is a six-tiered structure with a square base that reaches a height of 62.5 m. It served as Djoser's tomb and is surrounded by a complex of smaller pyramids, temples, and courtyards.

Memphis City

Memphis was a golden archaeological site that provides insights into the political and religious significance of the first capital in history. It served as the capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom (2700–2200 BC) and remained an important cultural and administrative center throughout various periods in Egyptian history. Dahshur Pyramids

The magnificent Dahshur area is one of the most legendary archaeological attractions in existence made during the reign of Pharaoh Sneferu, the father of Khufu. It was made between 2613–2589 BC to become some of the first pyramids ever made in the world that offer everyone a glimpse into the evolution of pyramid construction in ancient Egypt. Some of the first pyramids created include the unique Bent Pyramid that features a change in slope, creating a distinct bent appearance. The Red Pyramid is famous for its reddish limestone which is considered the first successful smooth-sided pyramid in Egypt. Both pyramids at Dahshur.

The Catacombs of Kom El-Shokafa are marvelous underground burial sites that date back to the 2nd century AD and hold a unique mix of ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman architectural styles and cultural influences. Pompey's Pillar

Pompey's Pillar is a marvelous Roman towering ancient column standing at around 27 meters (88 feet) tall made of red Aswan granite and features intricate carvings and inscriptions which is one of the largest ancient monolithic columns ever erected. Despite its name, the pillar has no direct connection to the Roman general Pompey. It was actually constructed in the 3rd century AD to commemorate the victory of the Roman Emperor Diocletian over an Alexandrian revolt.

Qaitbay Citadel

The Qaitbay Citadel is a medieval fortress that has withstood the test of time since the 15th century it was commissioned by Mamluk ruler Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf al-Din Qaitbay to protect the city from any foreign naval invasions. The citadel was constructed on the site of the ancient Pharos Lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World using its salvaged rocks. The Qaitbay Citadel showcases impressive military architecture, and artistic mamluk architecture, and offers panoramic views of Alexandria and the sea.

Abu Simbel Temples

The miraculous Abu Simbel Temples are two celestial massive rock temples found Deep in the heart of the Nubian desert that act as a magnificent testament to the ingenuity and artistic & architectural mastery of the ancient Egyptians. They were created around 1264 BC by carving meticulously into the very fabric of the mountainside. The temples are dedicated to the gods of the Ancient Egyptian pantheon, primarily Amun-Ra, Ra-Horakhty, and Ptah. They shed light on his epic victory in the battle of Kashed in 1274 BC which can be seen across the walls of the temple. The larger of the two temples is known as the Great Temple of Abu Simbel or the Temple of Ramses II. It features four colossal statues of Ramses II seated on thrones at the entrance, each standing at about 20 meters (65 feet) in height. The façade of the temple is adorned with intricate carvings depicting scenes from Ramses II's military victories and religious rituals. Colossi of Memnon

Colossi of Memnon are two guardian angels made of quartz stone statues that depict Pharaoh Amenhotep III and were originally located in front of his mortuary temple that has faded from existence. The Colossi of Memnon hold the face of Amenhotep III which was created in 1350 BC as there is a popular belief that they produce a melodic sound at dawn. each standing at approximately 60 feet in height and were rebuilt many times in history, especially during the Hellenistic period.

Valley of the Queens

The magical house of beauty and magnificence Valley of the Queens served as the burial place for many queens and royal children of the New Kingdom (1550-1070 BCE) of ancient Egypt. It contains more than 70 tombs built for royal children, high-ranking officials, and even some princes, but the majority of the tombs were constructed for queens and royal wives. The most famous tomb is the golden tomb of Queen Nefertari, the principal wife of Pharaoh Ramses II which is considered one of the most beautiful and well-preserved tombs in Egypt, known for its intricate wall paintings and sacred natural artworks that convey great meanings about the religious beliefs and daily life of the ancient Egyptians.
