The temples are dedicated to the gods of the Ancient Egyptian pantheon, primarily Amun-Ra, Ra-Horakhty, and Ptah. Colossi of Memnon are two guardian angels made of quartz stone statues that depict Pharaoh Amenhotep III and were originally located in front of his mortuary temple that has faded from existence. The most famous tomb is the golden tomb of Queen Nefertari, the principal wife of Pharaoh Ramses II which is considered one of the most beautiful and well-preserved tombs in Egypt, known for its intricate wall paintings and sacred natural artworks that convey great meanings about the religious beliefs and daily life of the ancient Egyptians.
